About Us

Welcome!

CUMI is a dynamic non-denominational church, flowing in the power of the holy Ghost, advancing the gospel of the Kingdom of God with sound teaching on Kingdom principles, where the worship of the king is a culture, prayer is steadfast, committed to developing the leader in you and empowering you to fulfill your God given vision.

We are committed to the development of the people of God as every man was created for a purpose, hence what will give God glory is in the fulfillment of that purpose. That’s why all our programs are designed towards the Spiritual growth and development to become an agent of influence on the earth. We believe in Life and Liberty in Christ Jesus, and so equip the people with the knowledge of the word to operate in liberty and experience a full life.

We ensure everyone finds their place in the house of God, that’s why we usually say “We are Large enough to accommodate you and small enough to be sensitive to you”. Jesus said “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail, the church of God at Liberty House is here to represent the interest of the Kingdom of God without any reservation.

CUMI is a church where people can see their God given dreams realized and hope restored. The church is strategically positioned to impact its multi-racial community with the culture of a superior Kingdom.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

  1. We believe in the Bible in it’s entirety as the inspired word of God. The Scriptures are infallable, inerrant, and the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct (II Tim 3:16, I Corinth 2:13)
  2. We believe in one God existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible and that He is the creator of all things (Matt 28:19, II Corinth 13:14)
  3. We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness (Gen 3:1-24)
  4. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the saviour of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very man (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:14-18; Isa 7:14, 9:6)
  5. We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared unto his disciples (John 20; I Corinth 15:1-4; Rom 4:25)
  6. We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, his exaltation, and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for his church – rapture
  7. We believe in the personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.(Eph. 1:7; Heb. 9:12, 22; Rom 5:11)
  8. We believe in water baptism, in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, in the gifts of the Spirit and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit (Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:34-36, 19:1-6)
  9. We believe that through the Holy Spirit we experience real salvation and through Him we are sealed unto the day of redemption (Eph. 4:30; Rom. 8:16)
  10. We believe in the operation of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit as enumerated in I Corinth 12-14, which were manifested in the early church (Acts 2)
  11. We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as expresing the true Christian faith (Eph. 5:18; IICorinth 6:14)
  12. We believe in divine healing through faith in the name of Jesus Christ (Isa. 53:4-5; Acts4:30; Rom. 8:11; I Corinth. 12:9; James 5:16)
  13. We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24, 3:16) and eternal punishment for the unbelievers (Mark 9:43-48; Rev. 20:10-15; II Thess. 1:9)
  14. We believe that Government is ordained of God, and the powers that are ordained as ministers of God to us for good. To resist the powers and the ordinances is to resist the ordinance of God. We are subject not only for wrath sake but for conscience sake, rendering to all their dues, custom to whom custom, fear to whom fear, honour to whom honour. We declare loyalty to our Government and its leaders and will assist in every way possible consistent with our faith in the scriptures as Christian citizens(Rom. 13)
  15. We believe in holiness, purity of heart and life, which is achieved through sanctification by the word of God and the Holy Spirit.
  16. We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly called the Communion or the Lord’s supper, for believers(I Corinth. 11:28-32; matt. 26:26-28)
  17. We believe that there is one true universal Church (Body of christ), made up of true believers, but this one true universal Church is also composed of many local churches in given localities. These Churches are under the sovereign Headship of the lord Jesus Christ, exercising autonomous government under Him, administering all its local affairs and ministry, as well as the propagation of the Gospel(Acts 15:22; Matt. 16:18, 18:15-20)
  18. Anointing Oil– It’s use dates back to the Old Testament:God commanded (Moses) the uses of Olive Oil for sacredness and for healing in Exodus 30:24-33. Saul was the first King to be anointed I Sam. 10:1. David was anointed by Samuel in I Sam. 16:1, 12-14 and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David. In Isa. 10:27… the yoke shall be broken because of the anointing oil. In the New Testament Jesus urges the use of Olive Oil (for healing) when his disciples cast out many demons and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them Mark 6:13. In James 5:14-15the sick were anoited with Olive Oil for divine healing. At Christ United Ministries Int’l, we revere the use of Olive Oil for anointing and healing. Anointing oil is not for sale for it contains the power of God Matt. 10:8
