4/14/2 WHAT IS IN YOUR HAND?
Exodus 4:1-5….Then Moses
answered and said, “But suppose they do not believe me or listen to my voice;
suppose they say, ‘The Lord has not appeared to you.’” So the Lord said to him,
“what is in your hand?”……….

Hebrews 12:7&11….If you
endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom
a father does not chasten? Verse 11…. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for
the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceful fruit
of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Praise the Lord, the
message of today will yield fruitfulness in the name of Jesus Christ….. I want
everyone to understand that you carry something to this world; there is something
in your hand that the Lord wants you to use for His kingdom and for His glory.
The Lord spoke to Moses what is in your hand? Moses said “I have a rod in my
hand” and the Lord said that if you have the rod in your hand, then cast it
down; he cast it on the ground and it became serpent, and Moses fled. I want
you to understand that you are carrying something; God who created you, created
you for a purpose; and he created you to fulfill a particular purpose on earth;
and you must fulfill it before you go in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord is
asking you what is in your hand; what do you carry. When God spoke to Moses it
is not only him that he is speaking to today; God is speaking to everybody;
somebody praise the Lord……..

THE THINGS PEOPLE USE
THEIR HANDS TO DO.
THEIR HANDS TO DO.
1.
People use their hand to
disobey God. What is in your hand? The first person who
held something in their hand was Eve; some people have something in their hand
to disobey God; some people use their hand to disobey God. Eve took the fruit
from the serpent Genesis 3:6…..When the woman saw that the tree was good for
food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise,
she took of its fruit and ate, and she gave to her husband and he ate. She used
her hand to disobey the authority of God. The Lord spoke to Adam in Genesis
2:16-17….The Lord God commanded the man, saying “Of every tree of the garden
you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall
not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Even when
serpent came to them in Genesis 3:1-5….The serpent was cunning and he said to
the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘you shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
and the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;
but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God said, ‘You
shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’” Then the serpent said
to the woman, you will surely not die. For God knows that you will be like Him knowing
good and evil. He gave the fruit to the woman; and the woman gave the fruit to
her husband, to disobey God. Some people use their hand to disobey God; some
people use their hand to go against the will of God; some people use their hand
to stand against the plan of God. When somebody took your picture to the
herbalist, he uses his hand to destroy; but it is my prayer whoever wants to
kill you, the Lord will kill them in Jesus mighty name….Whosoever is pursuing
your life to terminate it, the Lord will terminate them in the name of Jesus
Christ of Nazareth…..What is in your hand? Whatever you hold in your hand is what is in your heart; what
your hand possesses is what your heart possesses. Proverbs 23:7…..For
as he thinks in his heart, so is he…… what is in the heart of many people is so
terrible and that is why their handiwork is evil.

2.
People use their hand to kill: Genesis 4:8….Cain
talked with Abel his brother and it came to pass, when they were in the field,
that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. He used his hand to
kill; and that is what many people use their hand for. Every powers using hand
to kill you, the Lord will terminate them today in Jesus mighty name…… Everyone
that is using sword, which is using demonic arrow in other to terminate your
life, the Lord will terminate them in the name of Jesus Christ…… some people
use their hand to kill people; and to destroy life. Psalm 24:1-4….The earth is
the Lord’s and all its fullness. The world and those who dwell therein. For he
has founded it upon the seas. And established it upon the waters. Who may
ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who
has clean hands and a pure heart….. God wants your hand to be clean; do not
shed blood. Genesis 9:4&6….But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that
is, its blood. Verse 6….Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be
shed….. Whoever kills shall be killed; when Peter took the sword and cut the
ear of the priest servant, in the time of Jesus Christ arrest; Jesus said “put
your sword in the sheath; do you not know that whosoever kills by the sword shall
be killed by the sword.” I do not know the number of hands that has been raised
against you to kill you but Isaiah 8:9-10…..Be shattered, O you peoples and be
broken in pieces; Gird yourselves, but
be broken to pieces. Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; speak
the word, but it will not stand, for God is with us. Romans 8:31….If God is for
us, who can be against us? May I pray this prayer that whoever has raise up his
hand to terminate your life, God will cut them off in the name of Jesus Christ…….

3.
People use their hand to plot evil: Many
times people think that some people are intimidating them; they feel that some
people are threat to them; if people are threat to you, you are supposed to be
a threat to the kingdom of darkness. You do not need to look at anybody that
thinks you are a threat to them. When you have become a threat to people, they
use their hand to plot evil; a good example was Joseph. Joseph became a threat
to his brethren; his father loved him because the glory of the Lord was upon
him. Genesis 37:18-20….When they saw him from afar off, even before he came
near them, they conspired against him to kill him. Then they said to one
another, “look the dreamer is coming. Come therefore, let us now kill him and
cast him into some pit; and we shall say, ‘some wild beast has devoured him.’ We
shall see what will become of his dreams!” in verse 24, they cast him into the
pit.

People use their hand to murder innocent people:
David abused power, he used his authority to terminate an innocent life; he
took Uriah’s wife, got her pregnant, and killed him. Even if the king of this world did not see it,
the king of heaven sees everything. While you are innocent, whoever is
persecuting you, God will persecute them in Jesus mighty name…… I do not know
the number of places where they have raised their hands against you; I cut them
off in the name of Jesus Christ…… I amputate their hands; if they have been
doing it, and they are making it, but the one concerning you, they have failed
in the name of Jesus Christ……Declare yourself free…… Say “I declare myself free
In the name of Jesus……”

5. People use their hand to
test God: People use their hand to put God on trial; John 20:24-28….
One of the disciples of Jesus Christ, called Thomas was told that Jesus Christ
is risen; he said “No I do not believe unless I see the print of the nail and I
put my fingers into the print of nails
and put my hands into His side, I will not believe.” He is putting God to
trial; he is testing God; he is tempting God. Some people use their hand to
tempt God; that is why when Jesus appeared again in verse 27….He said to Thomas
reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put
it into My side….. Jesus said to him “Thomas because you have seen Me, you have
believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. People can
use their hand to tempt you, if they can use their hand to tempt God; but the
hand that is tempting you; I cut it off in Jesus mighty name……….

WHAT GOD WANTS US TO USE
OUR HAND FOR
OUR HAND FOR
1.
To use your hand to worship Him: 1 Timothy 2:8……I desire that men pray
everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. You do not know
that there is something great in your hand. Your hand if for praising God; God
wants you to use your hand to worship and praise Him. Psalm 134:2….Lift up your
hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. God wants you to lift up your hands
in the sanctuary to praise Him. At times we do not understand the value of our
hands; we carry something special in our hand.

2. To use your hand to
declare His majesty; to declare His glory: when you are
praising God; when you are worshiping Him, He wants you to declare His glory. After
father Abraham has delivered Lot from those who captured him; the king of Sodom
saw Father Abraham and said “O please give me your people, your soldiers and I will
give everything; all the spoils to you.” Father Abraham then said “I have
raised my hands to the Lord; the possessor of the heaven and the earth; that I will
not take anything from the tribe to the slander tribes. That is I will not take
anything that is from you; lest you may say ‘I have made Abraham rich.’” He raised
up his hand to God that you are the only God that will bless me; you are the
only God that will prosper me; it is not man. Use your hand to declare His
majesty because He is mighty; He can do it. Genesis 24:1…..Now Abraham was old,
well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. Who blessed
Abraham? God. We should have a covenant with God that you will make it in life,
but when you put your faith in man, they may fail you and God withdraws. Our faith
should not be on men, but on God. What man gives you can be taken back; but
what God gives you is permanent and forever.

3. To use your hand to bless: Laying
of hands produces blessing; produces favor; Deuteronomy 34:9……Joshua was full
of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him…….. Because Moses laid hands on Joshua, Joshua
was full with the spirit of wisdom; he was so great because somebody laid hands
on him. In the morning you parents lay your hands on your children and bless
them; there is something in your hands you do not know. By laying your hands on
your children; it terminates whatever the enemy has placed upon them; if they
have cast spell on them, your laying hands on them will cast that spell out. Your
hands are blessed; your hands are powerful; your hands are empowered. Your hand
is not only to eat and make money; your hands are to bless. When Jacob was
about to die; he called Joseph to bring his two children, Ephraim was the
second born and Manasseh was the first born; in Genesis 48:13-14. He placed
Manasseh on the right hand of the father; he place Ephraim on the left hand of
the father; but the father crossed the hand, he put right hand on the younger
one and the left hand on the older one; and he blessed them. Joseph now told
his father, Not so my father, for this one is the firstborn; put your hand on
his head. But his father refused and said “I know, he also will be great; but
his younger brother shall be greater than he.” Because of that blessing the
Lord made the grandchildren of Jacob to become children; that is why they were
among the 12 tribes of Israel. Joseph had two portions; grandchildren moved to
be children and nobody queried it. It means that God can move you to a position
you never imagined in your life. We need to understand that laying of hands is
a blessing; bless your children with your hands; lay hands on them. 2 Timothy
1:6….Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God that is in you through
the laying of hands.

4. To work miracles: Acts 13:2-4…..The spirit of God said separate
to me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. After that
they fasted, prayed, then they lay hands on them and sent them away. Paul was
so much empowered because they laid hands on him. God said to Moses “what is in
your hand?” and I say to everybody what is in your hands; there is power of God
in your hands; God wants you to use your hands to work miracles. The Lord said
to Moses in Exodus 4:17…..And you shall take this rod in your hands, with which
you shall do the signs. Your hand is for signs; when they got to Pharaoh’s
palace, Exodus 7:10-12……Aaron cast down his rod and it became a serpent. The magicians
also cast down their own rod and it became serpent; and there were many serpents
in the palace; but the rod of Aaron swallowed up their rods. The power of God
in you will swallow up all the powers standing against you in the name of Jesus…….
