1 kings 18:24, 36-39…….”then
you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and
the God who answers by fire, He is God………….”

Today I want to encourage you to follow the God of
Elijah; there are many gods, but there is only one God. Those numerous gods,
they will surely perish because there is no life in them. Jeremiah 10:11….The
gods that have not made the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth
and from under these heavens. Because they are not creators and did not create
us; and the one that did not give life cannot take life; they have never given
life, and they can never take life. We are greater, stronger, and more powerful
than them; we have our God, but they do not have god. 1John 4:4…… Greater is He
that is in us than he who is in the world. The one that is reigning in us is
greater than the one that is reigning in them. All these gods will perish in
the name of Jesus Christ….. All those who are consulting them also, against us
will perish in the same manner in the name of Jesus Christ…….They will not
consult the right God, because they know the right god will not do evil. God
does good, Psalm 73:1…..Truly God is good to Israel…..We are the Israel of God,
God is good to us. God does not do evil, He has never done evil, and He will
never do evil. James 1:13-15….Let no one anyone say when he is tempted, “I am
tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt
anyone. God does not do evil, He does good things; may God do good things in
our life in Jesus name……

What it Means When God Answers By Fire: we have
discovered that God has appeared in several ways by bringing down fire, and
when He brings down fire there is a reason for it. Hebrews 12:29…..For our God
is a consuming fire. Deuteronomy 4:24….For the Lord your God is a consuming
fire, a jealous God…..God is a jealous God. Exodus 20:5….For I the Lord your
God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to
the third and fourth generations…..So God is a jealous God, He is a consuming
fire. The Lord God almighty appeared to Moses in a flame of fire. Exodus 3:1-7….Moses
was keeping the flock of Jethro his father-in-law; he led the flocks into the
deserts behind Mount Horeb. In verse 2, the angel of the Lord appeared to him
in a flame of fire, he looked and the bush was burning but it was not consumed.
In verse 3 Moses said “let me turn aside and see this great sight”; when he
turned aside, the Lord now spoke saying “Moses, Moses!” And he said “Here I
am.” And the Lord said “remove your sandals from your feet for the place where
you stand is a holy ground.” In verse 6 the Lord made Moses understand why He
called him. In verse 7 He said “I have seen the oppression of my people who are
in Egypt…… ” God saw the oppression of His people, He knew what they were going
through, He knew the great work that the task masters put upon them; God said
“For I know their sorrow.” God is the Lord that does wondrous things in our
lives and He will do wondrous things in your life in Jesus name………

When
He appeared by fire what does it mean?
He appeared by fire what does it mean?
1. Deliverance:
When God is about to deliver His people, He brings down fire. The fire of the
Lord will come down today, to deliver you in the name of Jesus Christ…… Exodus
3:6….I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the
God of Jacob…… This is God; He appeared to Moses to make him understand that
He is ready to deliver His people. In verse 10 He said “come now therefore, and
I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of
Israel, out of Egypt.” God said “this is the time to deliver My people from the
spirit of slavery and servitude.” When God brings down fire it means
deliverance. God appeared to Moses in a flame of fire because He wanted to
deliver His people. Today God will deliver you from every slavery and
servitude; in the name of Jesus Christ. Exodus 20:2-3….I am the Lord your God,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You
shall have no other gods before Me. Psalm 81:10… I am the Lord your God, who
brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Lord will come down today, to deliver you in the name of Jesus Christ…… Exodus

His marvelous light. So the power of darkness has nothing to do with us again;
Satan has no power over us again, because somebody has delivered us. The Lord
God has delivered you and I as He sent Moses to Egypt to deliver the children
of Israel; so He sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ to deliver you and I
from the power of darkness; to deliver you and I from principalities; from
powers, from rulers of darkness; from the spiritual host of wickedness in the
heavenly places. He has sent His son to
deliver you, to deliver me from witch craft power; from marine spirit; from
occultic power; from all forces of
darkness that have gathered against us, and to consume them with His fire. That
is what the Lord will do today; to consume your enemies with fire, in the name
of Jesus Christ. God is ready to consume all your enemies with fire; the fire
of God will consume all your enemies; the fire of “God will devour all your
enemies; the fire of God will destabilize them in the name of Jesus Christ……

problem he has is that we are created in the image of God; but he was not.

make My words in your mouth fire and this people wood. You are a pillar of

Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire; its
smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked
greatly. God is god of fire; when He wants to establish His covenant and that
is the reason He made that covenant in Exodus 20:1-17 and in verse 18….people
witnessed the thunderings; the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and
mountain smoking….God came down in other to establish His covenant with His
people; this is unbreakable covenant. Psalm 89:34… My covenant I will not
break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips. God never breaks His

3. To confirm His presence
in our midst: To confirm His presence that I am
here; and His presence brings down His glory. 2 Chronicles 7:1….After Solomon
had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and the temple was filled with
the glory of God…. When the Lord wants to confirm His presence, He comes down
with fire. In verse 2, And the priest could not enter into the tabernacle….. 2
Chronicles 5:14…The house filled with the cloud; and the glory of the Lord
filled the house, and the priest could not continue ministering; but when fire
came down, they could not even enter. What does it mean? when the Lord God
almighty confirms His presence in your life; because the bible said “the priest
could not enter at all; they could not continue ministering, they stopped.”
There will be a certain level, when the Lord will tell you that you do not need
to consult anybody again. There will be a certain level, when
the Lord will tell you that you do not need to depend on anybody again; because
the priest could not continue ministering because the Holy Spirit took control.
You will reach a level in faith, that you will no longer be dependent on
anybody; you will no longer be looking upon anybody, either to favor you, help
or to assist you or to settle you; receive it in the name of Jesus Christ…..
You will no longer be begging; you will no longer be borrowing; you will no
longer be appealing to people; you will no longer be look on to people; God
will make you to get to that level, when you will no longer be begging people
in the name of Jesus…. The glory of the Lord filled the house and the priest
could not continue ministering and second time fire came down, the bible said
“the priest could not enter into the tabernacle of God.” If the priest could
not enter; who is the person that can enter? You will get to a certain level
when you also, will not know what to pray about any more because the spirit
of God is doing everything for you. You
will not say “God what else do I need to ask about?” before you think He has
already done it; before you plan anything, He has already done it; before you
ask for anything, He has already done it; you will reach that level in the name
of Jesus….because the fire of God will come down mightily in the name of Jesus
Christ…. Before you ask He has already done it; because He is going to give you

of the glory of God; when the glory of God fills your life, no one will be able
to point their evil fingers on you anymore. When some people will say “without
me you cannot do anything” it is not without them; it is without God; let the
glory of the Lord fill you. When the Lord returns your glory; you will see that
those that you are begging, will now begin to beg you; because things that you
are struggling for, will now begin to struggle for you ; that is what is called a turn around. Instead
of poverty, there shall be prosperity; instead of failure there shall be
success; instead of climbing mountains, there shall be miracle; instead of
sweat, there shall be sweetness; instead of rejection, there shall be honor; in
the name of Jesus Christ…. No more rejection; no more confusion; no more
intimidation; no more backwardness; no more stagnation; no more implication; in
the name of Jesus Christ…..What is happening is the glory of
God; because the glory of God was set upon Moses, when he got to Egypt; nobody
asked him what he committed before, because of the glory of God. Let the glory
of the Lord come upon you. When the glory of the Lord set upon Moses; the bible
said “as he was coming from the mountain, everybody was running away from him,
they could not be able to attack him; they could not be able to do anything
against him, because the glory of the Lord was upon him.” Let the glory of the
Lord be upon you today in the name of Jesus…..

4. He has heard you:
When He answers your prayer; when the fire of God comes down; He answers you by
fire it means He has heard you; that is answer to prayer. When God gives you
answer to your request, He answers by fire. 1 Chronicles 21:26….And David built
an alter to the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and
called on the Lord; and He answered him from heaven by fire…. The moment God
answered him by fire; the plague stopped. Are you going through some things in
life? God is going to answer you by fire
today, in the name of Jesus. When you build an alter for God, with the peace
offering you make peace with God; you made burnt offering; that is the
sacrifice from your heart. When you sacrifice
your heart, and you make peace with God; He said “He will answer you by fire.”
He answered David by fire on that day, because the angel has been destroying
the Israelites, and about70 thousands had fallen. But the Lord answered David
by fire; He will answer you today in the name of Jesus Christ…… When He answered
David, that plague stopped; every problem you are going through will stop today
in the name of Jesus Christ….. Failure will stop; rejection will stop in the
name of Jesus Christ…. Problem will end; all the storm of your life will be
ended in the name of Jesus Christ… The glory of the Lord will rise upon you in
the name of Jesus Christ…..

5. To confirm His supremacy:
1 Kings 18:38…..The fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and
the wood, the stones and dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. This
means that God came to confirm His supremacy over the power of darkness. The enemy
might be touching you; the devil might be attacking you; but when the Lord
comes down with fire to confirm His supremacy; He will let you know that those
who are wedging war against you are nothing. He came down to Elijah on that
day; the prophets of Baal were there 450; and all their sons their wives and
everybody was there. Baal did not answer, or speak there was no voice. But when
Elijah called on the Lord; the Lord answered by fire and everybody bowed down
and said in verse 39…..”The Lord, He is God! The Lord He is God!” The time is coming when people will know that
you are serving the living God; the time will come when people will know that
your God is the god to follow. Your God is a glorious god; your God is a great god;
when will they know? When the glory of the Lord rises upon you; when the glory
of the Lord sets upon you, they will know that you are serving the right God;
they will know that you are calling upon the right God. At times they mock you;
God will turn your mockery to advancement today; in the name of Jesus…..The
power of the Lord will come upon you in the name of Jesus…..

He comes down by fire
and He answered Elijah by fire, to confirm His supremacy that He is God. Isaiah
45:6…..That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there
is none besides Me….Jesus is Lord. The Lord has never made a mistake. He
appointed Elijah for a purpose. God has appointed you for a purpose and the
Lord that answered Elijah will answer you today. The Lord disgraced all the
prophets of Baal; He disgraced Ahab before Elijah; God will disgrace all your
enemies before you in the name of Jesus Christ. By the power of the Lord all
your enemies will be disgraced. Whatever they planned against you shall be
shattered in the name of Jesus Christ…. Isaiah 60:15….Whereas you have been forsaken
and hated; than no one went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence,
the joy of many generations… The children of God must outshine the children of
the devil. The children of God must shine while the children of the devil will
be destroyed; the children of God must live, while the children of Satan must
be destroyed. The children of God must excel to prove the supremacy of God; our
God is good. God has not forgotten or forsaken you; He is doing something on
your behalf. He said “My thoughts are not your thought; my ways are not your
ways; if your thoughts are My thoughts you will know that I have something special
for you” He has kept you alive to show and reveal His glory in your life; that
is why He said “you shall not die, but you shall live to declare the works of God.”
That is why He said “with long life, I will satisfy you, you will not die….We
shall live to declare the goodness of the Lord; this is our year.
and He answered Elijah by fire, to confirm His supremacy that He is God. Isaiah

the joy of many generations… The children of God must outshine the children of
the devil. The children of God must shine while the children of the devil will
be destroyed; the children of God must live, while the children of Satan must
be destroyed. The children of God must excel to prove the supremacy of God; our
God is good. God has not forgotten or forsaken you; He is doing something on
your behalf. He said “My thoughts are not your thought; my ways are not your
ways; if your thoughts are My thoughts you will know that I have something special
for you” He has kept you alive to show and reveal His glory in your life; that
is why He said “you shall not die, but you shall live to declare the works of God.”
That is why He said “with long life, I will satisfy you, you will not die….We
shall live to declare the goodness of the Lord; this is our year.
Yesterday has passed
today has come; even if today is bitter, we know that tomorrow will be better;
because weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning… Psalm 30:5.
This is the morning of joy; this is the time the Lord has promised us; this is
the time the Lord has set us free; this is the time the Lord spoke concerning
us that we are going to flourish. Arise shine; arise shine; hear the voice of
your maker; do not hear the voice of discouragers; but hear the voice of the
Lord. Isaiah 60:1…Arise shine…. It means
no more weeping; no more weariness; no more sorrow; no more pain for the light
has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.. He answered Elijah by
fire to confirm that He is the true God. If you serve the Lord with all your heart,
you will see His glory; this is the time. Do not let the enemies weigh you down;
do not let their words discourage you; do not enter into distraction anymore;
your light has come, and the glory of God is risen upon you; the bible can
never lie; God has spoken and He has spoken, and that is what is going to
happen; receive it in the name of Jesus Christ…. Psalm 121:3-4…..He who keeps
us shall neither sleep nor slumber….

6. To express His anger:
Leviticus 10:1-2….Nadab and Abihu the sons of Aaron, took up their censer and
put fire on it; they offered a profane fire before God. Fire came down from God
and killed them. Making you and I to understand that as He loves us, we must be
very careful. He releases fire to express His anger; and when He expressed that
anger that day, those people died. I pray that you will do the right thing
before God; the fire of God will preserve you, and will not kill you in the
name of Jesus…..When the Lord is expressing His anger on your enemies, His fire
will consume them in the name of Jesus Christ…..

7. To exercise His judgment:
Genesis 19:24-25….The Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah; and
He overtook all those cities, all the plain…. all the plain He consumed and
that is the same thing that is going to happen when Christ appears. And today,
the fire of God has kept us, protected and preserved us; and the fire of God
has proved itself over our enemies, that He is God. Do not let this fire judge
us. Roman 13:12….The night is far spend, the day is at hand. Let us cast off
the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. This is the time
to come to Jesus Christ; this is the time to allow Jesus Christ to reign in our
life so that God may be proud of us. Job 1:8…..Have you considered My servant
Job, that there was none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright; one
who fears God and shuns evil. Let God be proud of us; do not let Him destroy
us. 1 Peter 3:13…If we become the followers of what is right, who is that
person that will harm you. Let us become the followers of what is right. 1
Peter 4:17-18….The time is coming when the judgment will start from the house
of God; and if it starts with us where will the ungodly be. Verse 18, if the righteous
are scarcely saved where will the ungodly and sinner appear. 2 Peter 3:9-11….God is not slack concerning
His promise as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not
willing that any should perish…. God does not want anyone to perish, He is
coming back and tomorrow might be too late. The day of the Lord is coming like
a thief in the night; Jesus will come suddenly.
