DESIRING A MINISTRY OF GIVING

Philippians
4:19…..And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory
by Christ Jesus……

Galatians 6:9……And let us not grow weary while doing good, for
in due season we shall reap if we do not loss heart….

Philippians 4:10-19……But I rejoiced in the Lord
greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again……. Galatians 6:9……And
let us not grow weary while dong good, for in due season we shall reap if we do
not loss heart. The Lord wants you to have it as a desire in your heart that
you have to possess the spirit of giving. God wants you to have a charitable
ministry; Apostle Paul was talking to the Philippians, that his church in
Philippi; the Philippians were givers. He was making them to understand that
when he was in Thessalonica doing ministry work, the Philippians were the only
ones sending money to him; then he said “and my God shall supply all your needs, according to His
riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.
Praise the Lord…….at times we try
to dwell on the words in Philippians 4:19; but we forget that something was
behind it; before that blessing was released, the people had already given. I
want to encourage you in the ministry of giving, not only giving to God, but
giving to every individual.

The bible said “Let us not grow weary in doing good, but in due season
we shall reap if we do not loss heart
Most
people loss heart in giving because it backfires to them, the people they are
giving to paid them back with bad coins. Some people decide they will not do it
anymore because everybody they have helped has turned as enemies to them.
Ministry of giving is the ministry that the devil attacks, because he knows the
eye of the Lord is upon this ministry; this is because a giver never lacks. Every one that
gives is always on top; and you will continue to give because God will make you
be on top in the name of Jesus Christ….. There are many ways by which blessings
come to our lives, and it is through giving. The bible says “give and it shall
be given unto you, good measure press down shaking together and running over.”
Some
people have done so much for their families, friends, community, and even
pastors, but at the end of the day, they attacked them back, and they decided
not to give anymore. But the bible says “do not grow weary while doing good.”
Some people have made up their minds not to do good anymore, but the Lord says
He knows the bad
experiences you have had in life, but let us not grow weary while doing good
.”

God
does not want you to think or dwell on the bad experiences; come to think about
it, what about God Himself?  When it is
cold we say “it is too cold”; God will make it hot and we still complain about
it been too hot, or too rainy; people can never be satisfied; because if they
complained against God; they will complain against you. If they have hated God,
they will hate you. John 15:20….Remember the word that I say to you, ‘A servant
is not above his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.
If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. Right from verse 18, it says
“if the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you” because
you are not of the world, I have separated you from the world, because the
world loves its own….. The world would love its own; they will hate you because
the more you do it, the more they attack you; and those who are subtle will say
they will not do it anymore. But the bible say “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall
reap, if we do not loss heart.”
Some people have made up their minds that they
will not do good anymore because the majority of the problem they are facing
today is through the ministry of giving. This is due to the fact that they
showed kindness to people; some people put their business in the hands of a
trusted person, and at the end, they ruined the business and destroyed
everything.  You look at it thinking how I
will be able to do it again; let us not grow weary while doing good.

The reason why God wants us to do good is because
there is a reward to it. Everyone that does good has a reward from God. Psalm
37:37……Mark the blameless man, observe the upright; for the future of that man
is peace. Everyone that does good thing, there is a reward.  God almighty will reward you abundantly in
the name of Jesus Christ……. Jesus said “once you have done it for this people, you have done it for
me
; if you do not do it for them you have not done it for me.”
Whatever we have done for God; whatever we have done for human beings it is God
that we have done it for. Many times we feel that when we do good to people,
they will reward us back. No!  It does
not work like that. Jesus Christ healed 10 leapers only one came back to give
thanks; the one that gave thanks was a stranger, a Samaritan; the remaining 9
did not come. The other 9 leapers, were Jews from the same place with Jesus
Christ did not come back to say “thanks you.”

I want you to continue doing good, because there is
a reward in it. The Lord will give you a reward in the name of Jesus Christ…….
Doing good is like making a voice; when a voice is released, it either goes to
where you sent it, or it comes back to the sender. When you do good, you have
released your favor to that person; and God is the one that will release His blessing
upon your life. May God bless you- doing good will never disappear; it either
goes where you send it, or it comes back to you. When it goes to where you send
it, God Himself will send blessing. If they pay you back with bad coins, God
will become your reward in the name of Jesus……. Genesis 15:1…..The Lord said
“Abram do not fear I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”  God is the reward of those who diligently seek
Him; I want you to continue doing good, because there is a reward. Everyone
that does good, has a reward from God.

  Acts 9:
36-40…… At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is
translated Dorcas; she was sick and died. Peter was in Joppa and they sent a
message for him to come; when he got there, he met some widows crying showing
Peter the tunic and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them. In
verse 40, Peter put everybody out, he prayed and said “Tabitha, arise.” Why did
they send for Peter? Why did Peter go there? Why did the Lord hear that prayer?
The Lord heard that prayer because that woman was a charitable woman; and the
Lord knew that by killing her, no other person will do what she was doing. Let
me say this to you, if Tabitha died like that, many widows would have suffered;
many fatherless babies would have suffered; many orphans would have suffered;
many homeless would have suffered. Because the Lord did not want them to
suffer, the one that is sustaining them, the Lord had to sustain her. If you
are sustaining people God will sustain you; God is your sustainer; do not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season, you shall reap if you do not loss heart
. You
shall reap, there is a reward in doing good; am challenging you this morning
that you have to do good; am challenging your spirit this morning that you have
to do good; am challenging your spirit this morning to have a change of mind
that you must continue to do good. Use all your heart, strength, to support
people; use all your strength to lift people up when you lift them up, it is God,
who will lift you up, in the name of Jesus……

What God is saying is that I know the evil they
have repaid you with; I know they are even saying bad things about you; I know
that because you are even doing it, they are jealous of you; I know by doing it
they have tabled your matter everywhere and they are saying all sorts of things
about you. But the Lord said “nevertheless, do not worry.”   Proverbs 19:21…… There are many plans in a
man’s heart, nevertheless, the Lord’s counsel—that will stand. Their plan might
be to kill you, but only the counsel of God will stand; their plan might be to
stand against you, but only the counsel of God will stand; their plan might be
to terminate you, but it will never happen. Isaiah 8:10……. Take counsel
together, but it will come to nothing; speak the word, but it will not stand;
for God is with us.  Romans 8:31…… What
shall we say to these things? If God is for us who can be against us? If we do
what God asked us to do, who is that person that will go against us, that can
destabilize us; who is that person that can stop our vision; who is that person
that can stop our life, who is that person that can stop our goal; who is that
person that can destroy our dreams. You have a dream; you have a goal; you have
a vision; you are going somewhere. Continue to do good; let them repay you with
bad coins, your God will repay you with good coins.

Why are you so cold? Is it because people have done
things to you? Let them kick against you; let them step on your toe. Isaiah 49:
25……. I will contend with him who contends with you. When they contend with
you, God will contend with them; but you have to do good; in the name of
Jesus…… You will not lose the reward; in the name of Jesus……. Doing good is a
must, you cannot change your mind; you cannot say “I am not going to do it
anymore”; unless you do not belong to Christ. If you belong to Christ your
father is a giver; He is generous; kind, merciful; He is slow to anger;
abundant in mercy and truth. Your father is kind, and because He is kind, you
also must be kind. Your God is good, Psalms 73:1….. Truly God is good to
Israel, and to such as are pure in heart. God is good to you and because he is
good you must be good to people; a service to humanity is a service to God; you
have to do good, regardless of what they are saying against you; regardless of
the backbiting that is going around; regardless of the conspiracy and tale
bearing, you must do good. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit; and a bad tree
cannot produce good fruit. If they did evil against you; it means that they are
bad tree; bad tree must produce bad fruit, and you do not need bad tree; but
you are a good fruit, and a good tree must produce a good fruit. Tell somebody
“we must do good, for there is a reward to it.” God wants you to do good; you
lost $15,000 sometimes ago, that does not mean that you should not do good
anymore; somebody stole your $50,000 away that does not mean you should not do
good anymore. Let me say this to you, when we say “let us close our eyes so
that bad people will pass us by, but before you open your eyes, good people
might have passed you by. When you do not open your eyes, people that will help
or support you might have passed you by.” So we are not going to close our eyes
from doing good; they will continue to attack us, but we will continue to be
winning; they will continue to attack us, but we will continue to be
triumphing; they will continue to attack us, but we will continue to be
victorious. Let me hear a victorious ALELUIA……. Praise the Lord………..

 When they
ask you why you must do good; say “there is a reward for it.” If they say “what
kind of reward, tell them God is my reward.” When God becomes your reward,
everything that belongs to God, belongs to you, because when you win God; when
you gain God; you gain everything. You gain the world, the heaven; you gain
everything because God is good. Say to yourself “I will continue to do good to
mankind, regardless of their backbiting, conspiracy, and attack; I will
continue to do good.” if we want to be children of God, we have to do what He says
to us. Genesis 6:6&8……. God was sorry that He made man on earth, and He was
grieved in His heart. God said He was going to destroy everything He created,
but yet He gave grace. Verse 8, He gave grace to Noah. After the plague in
Egypt, the children of Israel were happy that God had done it; when they got to
the red sea, they complained against God who delivered them from slavery and
servitude.

Exodus 14:10-13……. They lifted their eyes, and
behold, the Egyptians marched after them in chariots and horses and the
children of Israel cried to God. They went to Moses saying “is it because there
is no grave in Egypt that you have brought us to this wilderness to be
destroyed?” the bible said “they complained against Moses”; they have forgotten
God who delivered them. But Moses who knew his God Daniel 11:32…… For the
people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits. He said
“do not be afraid, but stand still and see the deliverance of God that He will
accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see
them no more forever………. Genesis 14:13. All these opposition, problem, and
trouble you are seeing, you shall see them no more forever; come on put your
hands together for Jesus…….

People that you saved from destruction have become
your best enemies now; people whom you feed, gave hope and helped do not talk
to you anymore.  A loser always attack
people; but a winner never attacks. A giver does not pursue, but those that are
attacking you; the receivers are the ones attacking because they are losers,
that is the reason why they are attacking you, but they cannot do anything
against you; somebody shout ALELUIA…….  Do
not let anybody make you to miss heaven; in the kingdom of God, to do good is a
command, it is a law and it is the commandment of God for you to do good. If
you allow people to make you to be snobbish which has never been your attitude
or character, they may make you to miss heaven. But we are not going to miss
heaven; we will continue to do good. If your enemy is hungry; the bible says
“give him food; if he is thirsty, give him drink; by so doing, you are heaping
the coal of fire on them.” The best way to defeat your enemies is to give them
gift; as you are giving it to them, you are heaping the coal of fire upon them;
can I hear AMEN from somebody.

In this house we will do good because our God is
good. Hebrews 13:2…… Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some
have unwittingly entertained angels. When angel comes to visit your house, he
will not appear as an angel, but as a human being. If it is your custom to
entertain, then you will entertain them. What made the promise to move fast for
father Abraham Genesis 18:1, 9, &10……. Three men appeared, and when he saw
them he said “if I find favor before you please do not go; let me go and bring
water and wash your feet.” He hurried his wife to prepare food, and she set it,
before the angels of God. In verse 9, they said to him, “Where is Sarah your
wife?” He said “here in the tent.” Verse 10, He said “certainly, I will return
according to the time of life, and Sarah your wife shall have a son.” What caused
it? Giving; remember they were passing by and Abraham called them to come.

 Judges
13:3-5, 8, 10, 15, 20……. Angel of the Lord spoke to her about the child that
was coming; and he said “it shall be a Nazirite to the Lord, and no razor shall
come upon his head, because he shall begin to deliver my people from the hands
of the Philistines.” So the woman told her husband. In verse 8, Manoah prayed
and said “Lord please let the Man of God whom you sent come to us again….” In verse
10, he appeared again; Manoah asked what shall be done for the child. In verse
15, Manoah said “let me go prepare something for you to eat, the angel said though
you detain me, I will not eat your food, but you can make your offering to God.”
He immediately made that offering. In verse 20, as he made that offering the
angel of the Lord ascended to heaven, and he did not know it was an angel of
the Lord. The promise was fulfilled because the wife was barren and the Lord
opened her womb, because he did good.

I want you to do good; I know they have hurt you,
they have wounded you, they have disorganized many things in your life, they
have done evil against you; even taken your name to the shrine to kill you. Do not
worry, if the king of this world will not judge, the king of heaven is ready to
judge. When we are doing good thing, the hand of the Lord is upon us; the God who
sees your heart; that in the integrity of your heart you have done this for
them, will not allow them to prevail over you. You will triumph over all your
enemies in the name of Jesus……. Psalm 37:25…….I have been young, now I am old;
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.  Come on put your hands for Jesus; your children
will not beg for bread; you will never be forsaken; in the name of Jesus Christ………..
