11/25/12 DIVINE PURPOSE PART 2

For this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show my power in you, and that my name may be declared in all the earth……..Exodus 9:16

The purpose of our Lord Jesus Christ was to destroy the works of the devil which He did on the cross of Calvary. God is God of purpose; there is no one that God created without a purpose. It depends on how you are using your own purpose; it depends on how you are fulfilling it. Either you are fulfilling it or you are not fulfilling it. I want you to understand that God created you for a purpose. Job 33:4….The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life…. The spirit made you and gave you light so that you may be able to do his work. Psalm 118:17…..I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord….. That is, the reason why I have to live is to declare the works of God and to declare His glory. We have discovered that God has a purpose in creating Adam. Genesis 1:26….Then God said “Let us make man in our image; according to our likeness; let them have dominion over…..God had a purpose for creating us. Esther got to power because of a purpose. You can have your purpose and you can waste it; you can have a purpose and you can be holding it down; but when you fulfill it is when you do exactly why God created that purpose.

Every purpose is unto the Lord. God is the one that made purpose, and when He makes purpose, He has made provision for every purpose. Purpose is like a vision; when there is a vision there is a commission; and when there is a commission there is a separation. There is no one that God calls that will not separate from the world. If you are truly called, you will see that the moment the Holy Spirit falls upon you, you are separated. When David got the first anointing from Samuel, 1 Samuel 16:13-14…..Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the spirit of the Lord came upon David and he was separated completely from his family. Separation does not mean division, it does not mean enmity; but separation means fulfillment. There is no one who wants to fulfill his purpose that will not be separated from the things of the world. If you are not separated from the things of the world you are just wasting your time.

Everyone one must understand that when there is a vision, there is commission; and when there is commission there is separation. Jesus did not come so that all the family can be together, but He has come so that there will be separation. He said the father will turn against his children, and children will turn against the father and the daughters will turn against their mothers, reason, because of the truth. If you are following after the truth, and somebody else is following after lies; if you are together in the same camp you do not know what to believe, there is no way you and the devil can be in the same camp; there must be separation.

People You Have to Separate Yourself From

1. Every man, every woman, everyone who has no vision

2. Everyone who has no purpose. Amos 3:3….Can two work together; unless they have agreed? When there is no agreement how can they work together.

3. All those whose purposes has ended in your life.

4. Everyone whose purpose is contrary to your own purpose

1 Samuel 3:1-3…..Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli and the word of the Lord was rare….. The bible made us understand that where there is no vision, where there is no revelation, people perish, and the word of God was rare those times. Lamentation 3:22-23….Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not…… The word of the Lord is new every morning, but in the time of Eli, the word of God was rare. Why because the man to tap it is dead; a spiritually dead man of God ministers to a dead congregation. If the man of God is dead there is no anointing and there is no more anointing in that church. A dead man governs dead followers because if you are dead, your vision is dead, those who are following you, how can they say they have a vision that is alive. There are some people in your life, they love you and help you in the past; but now they are hurting you every day. The reason is because their purpose has ended. When someone’s purpose has ended, instead of making things happen he will be destroying things that already happened. He will no longer be a builder, he will be a destroyer; and that is why when there is commissioning, there is separation.

Korah Dathan and Abiram were among the 70 elders that Moses appointed. When they had purpose they were following Moses, but suddenly their purpose ended and they were destroying what they already built. Numbers 16:1-2….Korah Dathan and Abiram gathered themselves together with the leaders of the children of Israel, with 250 renowned elders, and they rose up against Moses….. They did it because their purpose had ended. You need to check those whom you are working with, some purpose cannot be fulfilled because of the people around you. People around you determines what you will become, people around you determine how you are going to move your vision; people around you determines the things that you have ahead of you; people around you determines either you are going to get it or not. David did not have common men; he had great men and glorious men. There was a time when he wanted to drink water, but the water was by the garrison of Philistine; 3 men risked their lives for David just because of water. When they brought the water, David did not drink it but poured it for God; he used it to worship God. You need to check the people around you; the people around Moses caused him to be angry. He was so angry that instead of speaking to the rock he beat the rock. If you are making people angry you have to check yourself, you have to change today because everyone has a purpose to fulfill. Do not be a person that will be causing pain in another person’s life. Make yourself uncomfortable for others to be comfortable; that is when you are fulfilling purpose. Try as much as possible to cry for others to laugh; there are some people they have never laughed. Their lives is so terrible, but be a solution to their lives; do not contribute evil; do not contribute more problem to them; relieve them; take that burden out of them that is when you are fulfilling purpose.The Lord is using people in other to make things happen. Separation does not mean division or enemity. Matthew 10:8…..Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received freely give….. Salvation is free; anything that works with money is not salvation. Jesus paid the price on the cross of Calvary. Whatever Jesus cannot do nobody can do it.

3 Things to do to Fulfill our Purpose

1. Developing  Godly spirit. It is God that makes things happen; it is God that will make you to fulfill your purpose. If your spirit is not the spirit of God it will be so difficult for you to get it. God wants you to fulfill purpose. When you do not have the Godly spirit in you, you will not be able to fulfill it. Daniel wanted to fulfill purpose; when they were serving the king’s delicacy, he said “no am not going to eat it, am going to put myself with God in fasting and prayer.” Daniel 6:9-10….Therefore, king Darius signed the written decree….. The writing was signed and when Daniel realized it he went to his room to pray to God, when they saw him praying they arrested him and threw him into the den of lion; in the morning they brought him out, but the lion did not do harm to him. Because Daniel has a purpose to fulfill so lion cannot stop his purpose. 100 billion demons cannot stop your purpose; when God said you have a purpose, no one can stop your purpose. You purpose will be fulfilled in the name of Jesus Christ….. Joseph could fulfill his purpose because the bible made us understand in Genesis 37:1-20….Joseph was good because he brings the bad report/attitudes of his brothers to his father because he did not join them and he knew he had a purpose. You have a purpose, you have a vision, and you have a goal. He was sold yet he was still faithful to God

2. Develop a fighting spirit. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5….For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh…… Casting down all imagination, when it says it cannot be possible, cast it out; anything that says you are black you cannot get to that level cast it out. Whenever they ask Jesus Christ “Who are you? Where are you from?” He made them to understand that he is from Heaven. He said “I am from heaven, I am with my father, there is nowhere in the bible He said He is a Jew. Hebrews12:22-24…..But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem….. If you are a child of God you will know that deliverance is for you; God wants you to fight a good fight, Casting down imagination and every thought that exalt itself against the knowledge of God. The knowledge of God is that whoever comes to Jesus Christ shall be saved. The knowledge of God is that with God all things are possible; the knowledge of God is that nothing shall be impossible for God. You are wonderfully and carefully made. Psalm 139:14…I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made……What else do you want the Lord to do for you, you cannot be bought because you are precious. All your enemies cannot kill you because greater is He that is in you than he that fights you. Everyone that has the spirit of God loves the children of God, but whoever hate the children of God does not have the spirit of God. And if they do not have the spirit of God that is the spirit of error and the spirit of error can never overpower us. Develop a fighting spirit, fight those who are fighting you; rise up early in the morning and pray. Let God arise and let my enemies be scattered Psalm 68:1-2…… Those who live Godly life must face persecuted; God does not persecute anybody; whoever persecute belongs to the devil; and for this reason the son of God was manifested to destroy the works of the devil

3. Develop spirit of compassion. Because your purpose is not only to yourself, it is to somebody else. If you are not filled with compassion God will not give you the power because he wants you to be filled with compassion. Jesus was compassionate with people .James 1:27…..Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this to visit the orphans and the widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspoted for the Lord……You will fulfill your purpose in the name of Jesus Christ……..
